Five Airlines Offer Free Vaccination Services In Indonesia

Yulian Ardiansyah - : Jul 8, 2021 - : 11:53 am

Due to the sharp increase in COVID-19 infections over the  past month and the government-mandated emergency restrictions between July 3-20 for Java and Bali islands, five Indonesian airlines are offering free vaccinations for ticket holders at the Soekarno–Hatta International Airport in Tangerang.

The Indonesian flag carrier Garuda Indonesia and its subsidiary Citilink, as well as Lion Air Group, which oversees three other airlines: Lion Air, Wings Air and Batik Air, have opened free vaccination centers following the government’s directive that only those who have received theCOVID-19 vaccine will to be allowed to travel. To receive the certificate, a person must have received at least one dose of the vaccine.

Garuda Indonesia and Citilink opened their respective vaccination centers at Terminal 3, Soekarno-Hatta Airport. The centers’ operating hours are between 08.00-14.00 Western Indonesia Time (WIB) for Garuda Indonesia, and 08.00-17.00 WIB for Citilink.

Lion Air Group opens the vaccination center for all three of its subsidiaries in the arrival area of Terminal 2 D-E, Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, and will operate between 08-00-17.00 WIB.

All the five airlines require those above 12 years old to be  vaccinated. Ticket holders who have already received their first vaccination should have at least a 28-day gap before they can have their second injection at the airport.
