BAE SYSTEMS HIGHLIGHTS RANGE OF PRODUCTS

Our Bureau - : Oct 21, 2021 - : 8:33 am

Eager to expand its already extensive footprint in South Korea, BAE Systems is showcasing many of its technological innovations at the ongoing show. Among the capabilities and products being highlighted by the company are the APKWS laser-guided rocket, the Eagle Passive Active Warning Survivability System (EPAWSS,) SABR-Y, GPS products, and Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) solutions. According to the company, the APKWS rocket effectively bridges the gap between unguided rockets and anti-armor munitions, delivering pinpoint accuracy to soft targets at a low cost. The rocket, which has a guidance section that is designed to lock onto targets from over 3 kilometers away hits the intended target with pinpoint accuracy, with greater consistency than other precision-guided weapons on the market. The APKWS rocket, which is used on at least 17 rotary and fixed-wing launch platforms around the world, has advanced DASALS seeker optics located on all four guidance wings.

The company’s AN/ALQ-250 Eagle Passive Active Warning Survivability System (EPAWSS) protects U.S. Air Force F-15s with digital electronic warfare technology. The system provides the aircraft with fully integrated radar warning, geo-location, situational awareness, and self-protection solutions to detect and defeat surface and airborne legacy, current, and future threats in highly contested, dense signal environments. EPAWSS is equipped with advanced radio frequency (RF) electronic countermeasures (ECM), enabling deeper penetration against modern integrated air defense systems and providing rapid response
capabilities designed to protect the aircrew.

SABR-Y is an advanced anti-jam beam forming receiver designed for weapons applications in multi-domain environments. It provides users with accurate position, velocity, altitude, and timing data in high-threat environments. The system is forward-fit compatible with the upcoming military code (M-Code) capable SABR-M. A proven name in IFF systems technology, the company’s IFF systems is designed to enhance the safety and operational tracking of legacy, new, and emerging platforms including unmanned aerial vehicles, ships, fixed-wing aircraft, and helicopters.
