Full Mock Up of TF-X Grabs Eyeballs

Turkish Aerospace is showcasing a full scale mock-up of its 5th generation fighter jet Turkish Fighter at the Singapore Airshow, the first time in Asia region.

Turkish Aerospace President and CEO Temel Kotil said: “We are excited to be part of the Singapore Airshow. It important to be part of the Asian market in defence industry. We are making strategic decisions on a global scale to increase our business marketing activities both in the academic field and in production. We are working on new business models to develop relationships in the region. I believe it will strengthen us. In this scope, we will hold a critical meetings in Singapore with military and civil area for further corporation.”

The TF-X is being built in order to meet Turkish Air Force (TurAF) requirements beyond 2030s. The aircraft with an indigenous design and development program aims to replace the aging F-16 fleet of TurAF. TF-X aircraft is planned to be kept operational in the TurAF inventory until 2070s and will be interoperable with other critical assets of TurAF such as F-35As. TF-X aircraft will be a multi-role aircraft, it will be designed mainly for air-to-air role with a consideration to air-to-surface roles as well. Meanwhile, Turkish Aerospace is making deep inroads into the South East Asian market. In 2021, Turkish with the sales agreement of Turkish Aerospace UAV ANKA has accelerated Asian defense industry and its surroundings. In addition to UAV, Turkish Aerospace‘s Advanced Jet Trainer and Light Attack Aircraft HÜRJET also offered to the Malaysia. Turkish Aerospace expecting to produced and manufactured 15 of them in Malaysia.
