Vietnam is reviewing the expansion of its airports’ infrastructure to remove difficulties for airlines. Several domestic and foreign enterprises have built up development strategies focusing on the promising Vietnamese market.
Vietnam’s aviation industry is evaluated to have immense potential and the region is strong development in the region. According to the forecast of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Vietnam will be the fifth fastest-growing aviation market in the world, reaching 150 million passengers by 2035. This will also have a positive impact on other airline service businesses in the industry.
Vietnam International Aviation Expo 2022 (VIAE 2022), a key annual event of the Vietnam Aviation Industry, takes off with the aim of bringing together airlines, enterprises, and manufacturers from the world over to Vietnam.
“This is a place for experts, operators, leaders from governments, associations, airlines, enterprises in aviation field to meet and exchange new ideas, strategies. And also, the show will help in bringing the latest modern technologies, products, and services to the Vietnamese market,” says Luong Thi Xuan, Director of GK Wintron Co. Ltd., the organizer of the show.
VIAE 2022, which has “A sustainable growth for a brighter future” as its theme, hopes to enhance the exchange and sharing of development opportunities and new initiatives among experts and business leaders; leading domestic and foreign airlines, and manufacturers.
VIAE 2022 will feature vivid images of the Vietnamese aviation ecosystem. It will bring together leading local and foreign airlines. Symposiums will be also arranged in the framework of the event which will see the participation of experts and entrepreneurs working in aerospace and related fields. This is the first time that Boeing has become a sponsor of an international aviation event in Vietnam.
Luong Thi Xuan said the three-day event will help promote cooperation opportunities for the aviation and tourism industries in general and businesses in particular in the global market.
According to Nguyen Huu Nam, Deputy Director of Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ho Chi Minh City (VCCI – HCM), the expo will contribute to promoting information updates and assessing the prospect and resilience of the aviation industry.
The organizers have extended an invitation to flight schools, simulator training centers, and pilot training industry suppliers from around the globe to attend the event. Many among them have expressed interest in attending the event.
Vietnam’s pilot training infrastructure is still in the early stages of development with currently one Flight School being active and a second Flight School about to start operations. The small domestic flight training infrastructure is not able to cater to the strong domestic demand for pilots resulting in opportunities for international flight schools.
