Jay Menon - : Sep 16, 2022 - : 6:51 pm

Air Traffic Technical Company Ltd. (ATTECH) is showcasing its Very High Frequency Omni-Directional Range (VOR) Counterpoise at the ongoing VIAexpo.

Counterpoise reflects electromagnetic waves transmitted from antennas of the two types of VOR aids: CVOR (Conventional VOR) and DVOR (Doppler VOR).

“Depending on the purpose of utilising the station for approach or long route and terrain conditions of the station site, various types of Counterpoises may be used,” Nguyen Minh Trung, Deputy Manager of Planning and Business Management Department at ATTECH told Daily News.

ATTECH’s Counterpoise is in use in several airports in Vietnam and the company is aiming to sell the product in other markets in the region, Middle East and Africa.

“There is a demand for this product and we are in discussion with various airport authorities in the region and outside the region,” Trung said.
