Turkish Air Force Inducts Super Mushak Trainers

The Turkish Air Force has completed acceptance activities of three Super Mushshak aircraft produced by Pakistan Aeronautical Complex (PAC). The aircraft have now been inducted into the Air Force Command at Yalova Airport Command in Turkey. The new aircraft were acquired under the scope of Turkey’s Initial Trainer Aircraft Project. The information on the induction of the new Pakistani made military trainer aircraft was provided by the Official Twitter Account of the Ministry of National Defence of the Republic of Turkey. Turkey had placed orders with Pakistan Aeronautical Complex Kamra (PAC Kamra) IN 2016 for 52 Super Mushak trainers.

The MFI-17 Super Mushshak, is a light-weight, robust, two/three seat trainer aircraft that has been developed to meet US FAR 23 certification in Normal and Utility categories. The single engine aircraft is powered by a Textron Lycoming 260 hp piston engine and is made of predominantly all-metal construction. The aircraft has a fixed, non-retractable, tricycle landing gear and can operate from short, unprepared strips. It is offered with state-of-the-art glass cockpit suite options, environmental control system and dual control elevator and rudder trim systems. The Super Mushshak has aerobatic capability and a maximum limit load factor +5.4 G/ -2.7 G in the basic acrobatic category. The aircraft has a structural life of 11,500 hrs, which is extendable upto 12,500 hrs.

Customer for the Super Mushak/ Mushak trainer aircraft include, the Pakistan Army, Pakistan Air Force, Nigerian Air Force, Qatar Emiri Air Force, Azerbaijani Air Force, Royal Air Force of Oman, Sweden, South Africa, Royal Saudi Air Force, Islamic Republic of Iran Airforce, Syrian Air Force and now the Turkish Air Force.
