Italian company MA Group, leading manufacturer of landing gears and hydraulic components, is expanding its footprint in Turkey.
At the Paris Air Show, the company signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI) and Turkish industrial partner TAAC Aerospace for the second phase of the Hurjet Program. Following the success of the prototype flight, the parties involved in the program will move toward further testing. development work and production.

MA Group’s collaboration with TAAC Aerospace allows it to fulfill Turkish offset requirements for the Hurjet landing gears program. TAAC is a joint venture of the aerospace giant Turkish Aerospace and the Turkish technology pioneer Altinay.
In recent years, MA Group has grown its global footprint significantly. Apart from Italy and Turkey, the company has a presence in the U.S., UK, and Brazil.
Hurjet is expected to enter service with the Turkish Air Force by 2025 after completion of testing and development work. In the first stage, 16 aircraft will be manufactured and handed over to the service. The trainer and light attack aircraft will replace T-38 and F-5 aircraft. The Turkish Air Force also plans to receive Hürjet in a light attack aircraft version, designated Hürjet-C.
