A Delta Air Lines Boeing 757 plane recently lost its nose wheel shortly before taking off at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, says a report from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

The plane had been preparing to fly to Bogota, Colombia, on Jan. 20 when the “nose wheel came off and rolled down the hill,” according to a preliminary report from the FAA. No one was injured as passengers were able to disembark the plane after the incident.

Delta Air Lines released a statement confirming the incident. “Delta Flight 982 ATL/BOG was taxiing for departure when a nose gear tire came loose from the landing gear. All customers and their bags were removed from the aircraft, transferred to the gate and onto a replacement aircraft. We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience.”

On Jan. 5, a door plug blew off a new Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 MAX 9 plane at 16,000 feet shortly after it took off from the Portland International Airport in Oregon. No one was seriously injured then. The F.A.A. has ordered about 170 Boeing 737 Max 9 planes to be grounded in the United States until they could be inspected.
