Air Canada Resumes Singapore Flights with SATS Partnership

Our Bureau - : Apr 5, 2024 - : 2:12 am

After a hiatus of over 30 years, Air Canada is set to return to Singapore’s Changi International Airport with the announcement of a new partnership with Singapore Airport Terminal Services (SATS) for passenger, ramp, and cargo handling services.

Beginning April 4, 2024, Air Canada will initiate four weekly flights between Vancouver and Singapore utilizing Boeing 787-9 aircraft.

The new contract also extends the airline’s global partnership with SATS and Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), a member of the SATS Group.

“We are delighted to welcome Air Canada back to Singapore and proud that the airline has chosen to extend its partnership with SATS Group into Southeast Asia. This is another significant business win for SATS Group at Changi Airport, reinforcing the good and longstanding partnership with Air Canada as a major customer of WFS,” said Bob Chi, CEO of Gateway Services at SATS. “Air Canada and its customers will benefit from our combination of operational excellence and global network connectivity,” he added.

The decision to partner with SATS comes as the airline aims to establish seamless connections for passengers and cargo beyond Singapore to various destinations across Southeast Asia. Notably, this route will offer the sole non-stop service linking Canada and Singapore.
