Our Bureau - : May 17, 2024 - : 12:47 pm

SriLankan Cargo, the freight division of SriLankan Airlines, has partnered with digital freight solutions provider CargoAi to enhance its airfreight booking and payment processes. This collaboration integrates SriLankan Cargo’s services into CargoAi’s platform, providing users with online booking and instant cross-border payment options. It also extends SriLankan Cargo’s reach to new forwarders.

The partnership simplifies payment processes by offering various methods, including local transfers and credit card payments, reducing reliance on cash and improving transaction security and efficiency. CargoAi’s CargoWALLET platform further automated reconciliation tasks.

For freight forwarders, the integration with CargoAi’s CargoMART eliminates the need for bank guarantees or yearly subscriptions, streamlining operations and reducing costs.

“Our partnership with CargoAi marks another significant stride in our digitalization journey, aimed at expanding our horizons. We will be able to enhance the visibility of our inventory and offer customers a convenient airfreight booking experience,” said Chaminda Perera, Head of Cargo at SriLankan Airlines.

“We are looking forward to extending our market reach and engaging with businesses of all scales with CargoAi.”

“Our collaboration with SriLankan Cargo marks a significant milestone in our mission to revolutionize the air cargo industry,” said Matt Petot, CEO of CargoAi. “By leveraging technology to streamline processes and enhance user experience, we are paving the way for a more efficient and sustainable future in airfreight logistics.”

This partnership reflects the commitment of both companies to innovation and improved customer service in the airfreight industry.
