EDGE, a defence and technology group based in the UAE, has entered into a strategic agreement with Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior to improve the capabilities of Kuwait’s marine and coastguard fleets. The contract outlines a programme covering the refurbishment, repair, and upgrade of several existing vessels, including landing craft and patrol boats, alongside personnel training to foster long-term operational skills.
The work will be carried out by EDGE’s subsidiary, Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB), which specialises in naval vessel design, construction, and maintenance services. Through this partnership, ADSB will utilise its engineering and maintenance expertise to enhance the operational readiness and technical capabilities of Kuwait’s maritime assets.
This contract highlights EDGE’s commitment to providing comprehensive solutions across the region, aimed at building local capabilities and strengthening marine resilience to support national security efforts.
