The Security Industry Department of the Vietnam Ministry of Public Security is displaying 91 specialized and dual-use security industrial products at Vietnam Defense 2022 held at Gia Lam Airport, Han, from Dec.8-10.
The products displayed in the exhibition are divided into 5 groups - Technology; Vehicle; Firefighting equipment and supplies; Support tools and professional equipment provided by enterprises under the Security Industry Department such as Thanh Binh Company Limited; 19-5 One-Member Limited Liability company; Nam Trieu One Member Company Limited; Ba Dinh Printing One Member Company Limited; BCA - Thang Long One Member Company Limited; Bach Dang One Member Company Limited; Global Telecommunications Corporation (GTEL); and the Department's affiliated enterprise - Thien Viet International Investment Joint Stock Company, which has successfully researched, transferred technology, manufactured and piloted production in recent years.
The security products and modern weapons manufactured by companies under the Security Industry Department, in the group of supporting tools and professional equipment, include ice multi-purpose bullet pistol; explosive rocket launchers; grenade launcher; tear gas gun; grid gun; tear smoke grenades; as well as clothing and equipment for officers and soldiers.
In addition, the Department of Security Industry also introduced dual-use security products. Thien Viet International Investment Joint Stock Company and its member units have successfully researched, produced and transferred technology, including fire fighting cars, small fire trucks, cars carrying barbed wire, ambulances, traffic patrol vehicles, vehicles carrying troops for the armed forces, patrol cars, rescue ships, fire fighting ships, and patrol boats. They have also developed IT software, and provide integrated solutions, designing, manufacturing and managing network security, security cameras, installing equipment as well as integrating systems for smart cities.
The Department of Security Industry will continue to mobilize and strengthen the potential of enterprises in the Public Security industry to continue reasearch and production of specialized and dual-use security industrial products. It will also coordinate with the Police of units and localities to determine the maintenance needs, and the ability to improve and upgrade the vehicles, weapons, and support tools that have been issued. The department will also determine the need for new equipment to meet the criteria of building the People's Police Force in the 2021-2025 period and help the process of progressing to modernity by 2030.
