Airframe modification has become one of the main products in Ameco in recent years with a full range of portfolio of capabilities in cabin, structure and system.

Based on statistics in 2013, the modification occupies one third in total airframe overhaul business with a sharp increase by 9% in man-hours compared to year before.

Ameco is capable of providing cabin modifications on Boeing 737/747/767/777 and Airbus A330/A340. In past three years, Ameco’s most workload comes from Air China, looking back to an impressive experience of more than 50 layovers for its fleets including 16 A330-200s, 16 A321s, 10 Boeing 777-200s and 11 Boeing 737-800s.

Starting from last June, the wing rib modification brings Ameco’s structural modification competence up to a new level. The turnaround times have hit new record to the shortest even in global area.

The Middle East customer is satisfied with Ameco’s performance and services.

Ameco also performed a series of system modifications for the international customers covering the Nitrogen Generation System (NGS) modification on Boeing 777 since 2011, the Overhead Attendant Rest (OHAR) modification on two Boeing 777s in 2012, the Global Communication Suite (GCS) modification on ten Boeing 747s in 2013, and four Boeing 777-200s’ Flight Crew Rest (FCR) modifications.

Besides, last year, the in-flight Wi-Fi installation was carried out on three Air China A330s by Ameco that makes the airline become the first in China to offer onboard Wi-Fi services. Meanwhile, the follow-up maintenance services equipped with aircraft systems are being improved as well.
