ASELSAN Showcases Advanced Defence Systems at EFES-2024

ASELSAN showcased its latest systems during EFES-2024, held in İzmir, Turkey, on 29 and 30 May. The event was attended by prominent figures including President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler, and attracted around 1,500 foreign observers from around 50 countries.

This year’s exercises were the most widely attended in the EFES series, providing participants with the opportunity to observe the capabilities of the Turkish defence industry.

“EFES-2024 is among the most important military exercises where the Turkish Armed Forces display their deterrent power to the whole world. Around 50 countries attended in EFES-2024 with ASELSAN standing out as one of the major players,” said ASELSAN CEO & President Ahmet Akyol.

Akyol also mentioned that the company’s systems, which offer essential capabilities to the Turkish Armed Forces, were effectively deployed throughout EFES-2024. He added that the company is committed to supporting both the Turkish Armed Forces and allied nations through its expertise in defence technologies.

ASELSAN’s products were utilised in various operational fields including land, sea, and air during the exercises. The Air Defence Gun System KORKUT, Electro-Optic Sensor System DRAGONEYE, Remote Controlled Stabilised Naval Gun System SMASH, and Counter-Mortar Radar System SERHAT were among the systems used.

The Turkish company also presented its defence and security solutions at The Defense Industry Products Exhibition, alongside 47 other defence companies. The company drew considerable interest from military delegations from several countries with its range of systems, including electronic warfare, communications, electro-optics, radar, as well as weapons and command control systems. The company’s anti-drone system IHTAR, electro-optical reconnaissance, surveillance and targeting system ASELFLIR 600, and TOLUN ammunition were also on display at the exhibition.
