ASELSAN is set to debut an upgraded version of its GÖKSUR Point Defence Missile System (PDMS), equipped with a launcher capable of holding 20 missiles, at EURONAVAL 2024 in Paris from 4 to 7 November.

The Turkish defence company will display a range of naval defence and electronic warfare systems, including underwater technologies, communication solutions, electro-optical systems, and autonomous surface and underwater vehicles. Highlighting the exhibition will be the GÖKSUR 100-N, the latest configuration of the GÖKSUR PDMS, featuring an increased missile capacity of 20 and using the GÖKSUR IIR missile—an infrared-guided missile initially designed for air-to-air combat and now adapted for naval applications.

According to ASELSAN, the GÖKSUR 100-N offers 360-degree target engagement and operates effectively even in adverse sea conditions. Designed for multi-target environments, it incorporates a fast turret stabilisation feature and advanced fire control system enhanced with AI for mid-course guidance, allowing it to counter multiple anti-ship threats simultaneously. With an increased missile load, it aims to improve operational flexibility and vessel situational awareness.

Additionally, ASELSAN offers other configurations of the GÖKSUR PDMS, including the modular GÖKSUR 100-N VLS (Vertical Launcher System) and the stand-alone GÖKSUR 100-N/StA, providing adaptable defence solutions for varied naval requirements.

ASELSAN’s exhibition will also feature the GÖKDENİZ Close-in Weapon System, MARLİN Unmanned Surface Vehicle, DÜFAS Low-Frequency Active Sonar System, and DERİNGÖZ Autonomous Underwater Vehicle.

ASELSAN’s President and CEO, Ahmet Akyol, commented on the company’s objectives at the event: “As ASELSAN, we are excited to showcase our expertise and innovative solutions in the naval domain at EURONAVAL, and to introduce the new version of our GÖKSUR Point Defense Missile System. As a global defence company, we are committed to strengthening our presence in the naval domain by developing best-in-class products and expanding our global presence. We see EURONAVAL as a key opportunity to enhance existing partnerships and explore new collaborations with potential partners worldwide.”
