Azerbaijan, Türkiye Enhance Military-technical Cooperation

Defence ties between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, which have flourished in recent years, is poised to get another fillip.

Minister of Defense Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan Vugar Mustafayev met with Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Türkiye Yaşar Güler during the ongoing event. Mustafayev also met with Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün, President of the Defence Industry Agency of Türkiye, to discuss prospects for the development of existing cooperation and the expansion of ties in the military-technical field.

During the meetings, it was decided that the high-levels of cooperation that have been established between the two countries in the military-technical sphere will continue to develop.

Azerbaijan is represented at the event by Azərsilah, a defence industry holding under the Ministry of Defence Industry. The national pavilion showcases 57 types of defence equipment, including sniper rifles, mortars, assault rifles, heavy machine guns, automatic cannons, grenade launchers, and ammunition.
