Enthused by the selection of its Archerfish Mine Neutralisation System by Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) earlier this year for the development of a mine disposal system for their new helicopter programme, BAE Systems is promoting a range of products at the Show and highlighting collaborations in Korea that extend across the air, sea, land, and security domains.

Among the company’s main exhibits at the event are the nano bug drone, digital helmet, military GPS, virtual training system, camera sensor, optical display precision guidance system, and LiteHUD head-up display.

The bug drone was developed by the company in collaboration with UAVTEK; the nano-Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) weighs 196g, has a 40-minute battery life and a 2km range. It boasts a stealthy low visual profile and the ability to fly even in strong winds of more than 50mph.

According to the company, the Striker II digital Helmet-Mounted Display (HMD) is the world’s only HMD to combine a 40⁰ field of view, daylight readable color display and integrated night vision. As part of its longstanding relationship with Korea, BAE Systems has delivered a significant number of Bv-206s all-terrain vehicles to the Korean Army and equipped 30 of Korea’s naval platforms with its combat systems.
