The Eurofighter Typhoon Next Generation Cockpit, Striker II Helmet, Nautomate Autonomous Control System, and an Amphibious Combat Vehicle (model) are among the capabilities that BAE Systems has brought to the Show.

The company, which has products and capabilities spread across the sea, land, air, space, and cyber domains, has a sizable presence in Qatar. The Eurofighter Typhoon Next Generation Cockpit will provide an insight into the evolving capabilities of the Typhoon, which is in service with the Qatar Emiri Air Force (QEAF). At the company booth, the Typhoon Pilot Experience provides an interactive experience allowing visitors to see how a Eurofighter Typhoon pilot prepares for action.

According to BAE Systems, Striker II is the world’s most advanced fighter pilot’s helmet, designed to provide future pilots with unparalleled situational awareness projecting vital mission information right before their eyes. The “Classroom of the Future” will showcase augmented and virtual reality technologies that the company is developing to train the next generation of technicians to maintain global fleets of advanced aircraft, including Typhoon.

Another highlight is the Azalea Demonstration, which is an interactive showcase of the Azalea Multi-sensor Low Earth Orbit satellite cluster that delivers real-time quality data and information from space. Through its Integrated Warship and Naval Base Support Services, the company is demonstrating its capabilities in naval base management services, asset management, and ship MRO services.

According to company officials, Nautomate can be retrofitted to existing surface and sub-surface maritime platforms or designed for new platforms. BAE Systems is also showcasing a model of its Amphibious Combat Vehicle, which it says is the only truly Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) in full-rate production today.
