Its Enhanced Vision System (EVS-3600), ISR solutions, modernization options for the Lockheed Martin C-130, and its next-generation ejection seat are among the current and next-generation military solutions that Collins Aerospace will highlight at the upcoming Dubai Airshow 2021.
The company will also showcase its latest products and capabilities in commercial aviation, including the solutions that can help create a seamless travel experience for passengers and more efficient, sustainable operations for airline operators.
The EVS-3600 uses multiple wave-length cameras in head-up displays to enable safer, low-profile terrain flying in hazardous and low-visibility conditions. The EVS also uses heat signatures to aid search and rescue operations. Among the company's ISR solutions is the MS-110 system, which offers multispectral imaging in multiple visual and IR bands.
Collins' modernization options for the Lockheed Martin C-130 includes the EVS, as well as upgrades to wheels and brakes, propellers, avionics, seating, mission equipment, ground systems and maintenance support. The ACES 5, Collins’ next-generation ejection seat, has multi-platform compatibility.
The company will also highlight advancements in aerostructures materials and design that can help reduce weight and drag on an aircraft, while enhancing power and payload.
Collins, one of the four business units of Raytheon Technologies, has a sizable presence in the METNA (Middle East, Turkey and Africa) region today, with 15 entities, including a regional headquarters in the UAE. The company also has more than 400 employees living in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and other countries in the region, besides supporting about 1000 indirect jobs in the region. In 2009, the company partnered with Emirates Airlines and other key aviation companies to create the Aviation X-Lab to promote industry collaboration on solutions to improve the air travel experience for passengers and stakeholders across the globe.
