EDGE Makes an Impact with Growing Product Portfolio

The UAE’s EDGE Group, which has rapidly expanded its presence as a supplier of advanced defence equipment is amplifying its engagement in Southeast Asia, with a strong presence at the ongoing show. The Abu Dhabi based defence conglomerate, today is showcasing an impressive portfolio of advanced air, land, sea, and electronic warfare (EW) solutions at the biennial defence and security event underway in Bangkok. Mansour AlMulla, Managing Director and CEO of EDGE, said: “We are proud to be making our debut at Defense & Security 2023. This important event is a prime opportunity to further our engagement with regional armed forces and to foster our on-going industry relationships. EDGE is exhibiting a wide range of advanced solutions tailored to the region’s requirements, including high-performance small arms, precision smart weapons, modern autonomous systems, state-of-the-art naval vessels, and electronic warfare solutions.

EDGE is displaying a range of ISR UAVs, from its autonomous systems domain, including rotary wing and vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) unmanned aircraft. Under its smart weapons domain, EDGE is displaying short- to long-range precision-guided munitions and a spectrum of loitering munitions designed for different operations. EDGE Group’s growing naval capabilities on show include different models of modern naval vessels, including an unmanned surface vessel (USV) and multi-role offshore patrol vessel (OPV). EDGE is displaying their highly versatile pistols, sub-machine guns, assault rifles and sniper rifles, which come under the Group’s land domain. It is also showcasing small to large calibre ammunition, in addition to advanced electronic warfare (EW) solutions such as a cellular interception solution. EDGE Group was launched in November 2019 and has consolidated more than 25 entities into five core clusters: Platforms & Systems, Missiles & Weapons, Space & Cyber Technologies, Trading & Mission Support, and Homeland Security.
