Elektro Land Defence Gaining More Orders for HANCxER UGV

Turkish unmanned systems provider Elektro Land Defence, is displaying its portfolio of Unmanned Ground Vehicles at Istanbul. Speaking to Daily News, a company official said the firm would ink a deal with Turkey’s Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB) today for five HANCxER UGVs which would be delivered to the Turkish Land Forces. The HANCxER UGV has also been exported to Canada, which remains the sole export customer for this UGV till date.

The latest version of the HANCxER now being contracted for, features a Guide Tracking System feature which allows the operator to easily follow and go ahead of the UGV without the need for a control panel. This feature, will allow the UGV to follow a dismounted soldier and stop in his/her footsteps. The UGV is currently fitted with an Aselsan Remote Controlled Weapon System (RCWS) turret, which can be reconfigured as per the user requirement. The UGV can carry a 500kg payload, which can be used to configure it with a robotic arm, smoke dispensers, a high-mast surveillance system etc. It can attain a maximum speed of 16 km/h can operate non-stop for four hours.

The HANCxER UGV is a remote-controlled Medium Class Level 1 UGV with ground pressure surface, direction and position changeable, independent front and back angle adjustable narrow track system. It can adapt to all types of terrain conditions with its adjustable underbody height and independent track suspension. The UGV can be operated remotely from as far as 700 m. With LTE usage support, it can be managed by the command control center at longer distances. The first prototype of the HANCxER UGV emerged in 2019 and since, then several of the UGVs have been sold by Elektro Land Defence to the Turkish Land Forces.
