Falcon Soars in Australia for DASSAULT

Our Bureau - : Mar 1, 2023 - : 5:09 am

French aerospace company Dassault Aviation is displaying two aircraft from its line-up at Avalon Airshow 2023. One is the ultra-long-range, large-cabin Falcon 8X, and the other is the super midsize Falcon 2000LX. Incidentally, this year the Falcon brand is celebrating its 60th anniversary.

Thanks to its 11,945km range, the Falcon 8X can fly nonstop from Melbourne and Sydney to any destination in Asia-Pacific. It is also offered with Dassault’s FalconEye head-up display for better situational awareness at night and in poor weather conditions.

As for the Falcon 2000LXS, it has exceptional agility and short-field performance. From Melbourne, the 2000LXS can fly nonstop anywhere in Australia, the neighboring Pacific and even to Southeast Asian capitals like Kuala Lumpur, Ho Chi Minh City or Manila.

Dassault maintains that the Falcon has always been popular in Australia. Eric Trappier, Chairman & CEO of Dassault Aviation, commented, ‘With the arrival of the new extra-widebody Falcon 6X and ultra-long-range Falcon 10X – both of which are generating tremendous excitement – we expect the Falcon brand to be more popular than ever.’

The 6X and 10X that the CEO mentioned feature a larger cabin-cross section than other business jets. The 6X is due to enter service in mid-2023, and the 10X in late 2025.

The RAAF currently flies three Falcon 7X VIP aircraft.

Falcons in Australia can enjoy full product support at ExecuJet MRO Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dassault Aviation. It has heavy maintenance centres in Melbourne, Perth and Sydney, plus routine support is available at other stations around Australia.
