Final A320 for Air Astana

Air Astana has taken delivery of the last of its order of six new Airbus A320 aircraft. The fleet was ordered by Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Kazakhstan, in 2008 and has been funded through the airline’s own financial resources, without any state funding.

“Air Astana embarked on a major fleet renewal programme five years ago,” said Peter Foster, President of Air Astana. He added that the new aircraft would bring fuel efficiency, reliability, comfort and safety as well as efficiencies, cost savings, and reduced carbon emissions.
