Turkish company FNSS’s Shadow Rider Heavy Class Unmanned Ground Vehicle (H-UGV) concept is set to make a maiden appearance at the upcoming event. The concept is based on the M113 tracked Armored Personnel Carrier (APC).
The Shadow Rider is an optionally manned combat system with the ability for remote control or autonomous operation. It has been successfully utilized in international military live exercises, serving as a wingman in real-life operational scenarios. The improvements in the vehicle’s design and operation now allows for the integration of various useful payloads suitable for a range of missions, especially fire support.
Show visitors will be able to see the Shadow Rider in action, with the company showcasing its adaptable user interface developed from operational experiences. The vehicle will be equipped with a stretcher for casualty evacuation, showcasing its ability to be adapted for logistics support missions. The Shadow Rider will also be equipped with the Sancak Remote Weapon System (RWS), underlining its ability to serve as a fire support vehicle and provide protection to units.
