Garuda Indonesia has secured first place in the “Top 20 Airlines Ranked by On-time Performance”, according to the UK-based company OAG. The Indonesian national carrier achieved an outstanding 95.28% On-Time Performance (OTP) for its 49,918 flights throughout 2023.
The President Director and CEO of Garuda Indonesia, Irfan Setiaputra said that this achievement not only feels special because it coincides with the airline’s 75th anniversary but also adds to its spirit of optimism in providing the best flight services.
“We believe that the continued trust of service users in Garuda’s aviation services is formed from the core values that we continue to maintain, including aspects of security, safety, comfort, including punctual departure and arrival times according to schedule,” he said on Wednesday (Jan. 31).
“(This) achievement is of course also a form of appreciation and thanks to all […] who play a role in the smooth operation of Garuda Indonesia,” he added.
This latest achievement of the Indonesian national airline complements the awards it has received in previous years since 2019, namely the 5 Star On-Time Performance Rating recognition in 2019, the Most Punctual Airline in the world in the Punctuality League 2020, and the Punctuality League 2023.
