Bulgarian aviation consulting company IAS Ltd. plans to open an office in Hong Kong to support the growing demand for aviation services.
“We are the first Bulgarian independent organisation that holds EASA Part M, Subpart G and I approval. Our decision to open a branch in South East Asia is mainly to build together solutions for business and obtain certainty on the fly and at work in the region,” Todor Ivandjikov, CEO and Founder of the company, told Daily News at VIAexpo.
IAS is marketing its Aerosight flight data monitoring service that “handles time consuming and error prone tasks and allows you to focus on investigating hazards and increase flight safety in compliance with EASA regulations,” said Ivandjikov.
The operator receives accurate statistics and safety trends with presentation-ready reports, by just uploading FDR/QAR data file, reviewing the flight readouts, he explained. Aerosight is compliant with the highest security standards and provides reliable and secure, storage and retrieval for all FDM related data using the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, he added.
Aerosight FDM is an effective and highly customisable solution that can analyse 100 per cent of flight data with minimal user interaction in an easy to use and efficient way.
Digital flight data downloaded from the aircraft is analysed to determine if deviations from structural aircraft limits or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) have occurred. The events that are monitored constitute a dynamic set that is continuously evolving in order to best adapt to the company procedures in place and to help in the identification and measurement of safety risks, Ivandjikov noted.
The software is used by airlines in Hong Kong, Vietnam, India and Cambodia in Asia, besides several other airlines worldwide.
“We have identified a number of commercial and private groups where records and technical support will be provided on a high quality low cost base. Since March 2015 IAS Ltd was approved by Bermuda Department of Civil Aviation in accordance with the requirements of OTAR Part 39, Option 1 of Subpart E for large register of aircraft types,” he said. “Our solutions can be used in 28 types of aircraft.”
IAS Ltd is expanding its quality and safety management system, upgrading the services they have been providing so far and adding new, in order to meet even the most demanding requirements. Taking in to account the demand from leasing companies, IAS plans to launch an updated software for lessors to help implement complex and demanding aviation projects including aircraft recovery, modifications and repatriation projects. “There is a demand from leasing companies and we expect to laugh the software by next year,” he added.
The solution will assist in the lease delivery/redelivery or purchase of aircraft and engines, aircraft and engines lease/purchase agreement consulting, audits of aircraft before and during lease or purchase, assessment of the operator technical documentation, managing the technical records, complete analyses of the work required before the project starts (aircraft maintenance check or engine shop visit) together with negotiations for the contract with MRO and/or the lessor. It also helps in the storage system, Ivandjikov said.
