On 12 February, PT Dirgantara and Airbus Helicopters further cemented their long-term cooperation with a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed at the air show. The MoU covers expanded maintenance, repair and overhaul services for Airbus rotorcraft operating in Indonesia.
Beneficiary platforms include the AS365 Dauphin, EC725 Cougar and AS350/AS555 Fennec operated by the Indonesian government. Guillaume Faury, president of Airbus Helicopters, commented that, “PT Dirgantara Indonesia is one of our cornerstone partners, and I look forward to pursuing this new aspect of our relationship together.”
This European-Indonesian partnership commenced in the 1970s with licensed production of 120 N-BO105 helicopters. Later, Indonesia also began assembling SA330 Puma and N-ASS332 Super Puma helicopters. The Indonesian company also acts as the customisation and delivery centre for AS365 N3+ Dauphin, EC725 Cougar and AS350/AS555 Fennec helicopters.
