Korean Air has been recognised for its food and beverage service by Global Traveler in the magazine’s 2024 Leisure and Lifestyle Travel Awards.
The airline secured the title of best airline onboard menu for its First Class cabin, having previously won best airline cuisine in Global Traveler’s 2023 Tested Reader Survey awards.
Korean Air offers a variety of menu options for its passengers, ranging from roasted Chilean sea bass with vermouth sauce to spicy beef short rib stew, spicy buckwheat noodles, and traditional Korean bibimbap, depending on the route and season.
Global Traveler, a U.S.-based luxury travel magazine, conducts annual surveys where subscribers vote for top companies in various travel-related categories. This marks the 12th year of the magazine’s leisure travel survey.
The ongoing recognition of Korean Air can be attributed to its consistent investment in service improvements. Last year, the airline introduced vegan menu options inspired by traditional Korean temple cuisine, alongside a diverse range of pre-order meals, including vegetarian, glucose-free, and children’s selections.
Furthermore, the airline also revamped its wine program under the guidance of internationally renowned sommelier Marc Almert, introducing over 50 new wines to its collection.
The airline’s commitment to enhancing customer service has earned it global recognition. Last year, Korean Air received a Skytrax 5-star airline rating for the second consecutive time, an APEX 5-star global airline rating for the seventh consecutive year, and was named Best Business and First Class Airline in the USA Today 10 Best Readers’ Choice Awards.
