Kvertus Eyeing Export Markets

Our Bureau - : Oct 23, 2024 - : 2:38 am

Ukraine based Kvertus is eyeing export markets for its anti-drone systems in its first appearance at the ongoing SAHA Expo. Kvertus is the top Ukrainain Producer of Electronic Warfare (EW) and Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) systems, with 85 percent of the equipment in use by Ukrainian armed forces on the frontline, having been supplied by the company.

Speaking to Daily News, David Kim, Export Manager for Kvertus said the company was promoting its wide range of radio-electric intelligence systems and anti-drone systems at SAHA Expo. Kim says the company views a market in Turkey for its products from the police, fire department, and border security forces for infrastructure protection. The company’s combat proven systems are used for the detection, suppression and jamming of drones.

Kim says that all of the company’s products offered for export by Kvertus are combat proven and are constantly upgraded based on feedback from Ukrainian soldiers on the frontline. Kvertus is able to produce approximately 5,000 pieces of EW and SIGINT equipment on a monthly basis.

Kim says the company is open to foreign partnerships and establishing production facilities abroad, adding that the market response has been “positive.” We are talking to many potential customers and partners for business relationships, he added. Kvertus was started in 2014.

One the company’s products being displayed at the show, is the Kvertus MS Azimuth radio-electric intelligence system, which has a passive detection range of 25 km. The MS Azimuth is a highly portable station able to detect UAVs and take their bearings by tracking the signals of their on board systems (including control, telemetry and data transmission channels). A minimum two systems are needed to triangulate the GPS location of the opposing drone. It also allows to monitor the radio frequency spectrum, measure parameters of radio frequency radiation, take bearings of signal emitters and keep operational logs.
