Our Bureau - : Aug 23, 2024 - : 2:38 am

L3Harris plans to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 60%, water use by 20%, and solid waste by 10%. In addition, the company is committing to sourcing 40% of its total electricity from renewable sources.

“L3Harris remains dedicated to upholding environmentally conscious practices, and we are committed to meeting our new goals in support of a more sustainable future,” said Christopher E. Kubasik, Chair and CEO, L3Harris. “These efforts have a direct impact on our business operations by reducing production costs, promoting energy efficiency, creating business resiliency and driving innovation.”

The company exceeded its previous goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and water use three years ahead of schedule due to investments in strategic and innovative initiatives. Building on the success, L3Harris established two additional goals, decreasing solid waste and increasing renewable energy for total electricity use. All 2030 goals will be measured against a 2021 performance baseline.
