Liebherr-Aerospace and Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) have entered into a five-year agreement to provide heat exchanger maintenance services for the Air France KLM Group’s fleet of A320ceo/neo and A220 aircraft, as well as aircraft supported by the French-Dutch maintenance provider.

The agreement, signed during the MRO Europe 2024 event in Barcelona, will see Liebherr-Aerospace providing re-coring services for the heat exchangers, which includes replacing the matrix at its air management systems facility in Toulouse, France. The partnership aims to address the ongoing maintenance requirements of the Air France KLM Group and its customers, ensuring efficient turnaround times and continued fleet airworthiness.

“This collaboration with Liebherr-Aerospace aligns with our mission to enhance maintenance efficiency and aircraft performance,” stated Robert Pruim, Vice-President Procurement Engineering & Maintenance at Air France KLM Group. “We look forward to working closely together to ensure the highest levels of service for our fleet and our customers.”

“This agreement reflects the solid, long-term partnership built between our two companies based on Liebherr’s quality, performance and competitiveness in the field of heat exchangers. The sharing of our know-how will enable Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance to provide high-performance maintenance services while optimizing return-to-service times. Operators will benefit from our OEM expertise and years of experience in servicing the equipment,” commented Alex Vlielander, Chief Customer Officer at Liebherr-Aerospace & Transportation SAS.
