The Lufthansa Group has announced the appointment of Brendan Shashoua as its Senior Director Sales for Southeast Asia and the Pacific. Based in Singapore, Shashoua will oversee the sales operations across this region.
Shashoua, who was born and raised in Switzerland, began his career with the Lufthansa Group in 2011 as part of SWISS’s revenue management team. After two and a half years, he transitioned to sales, taking on the role of Global Key Account Manager, where he managed some of the group’s largest corporate clients. In 2018, Shashoua led the creation of the Lufthansa Group’s Global Sales Services Competence Center in Switzerland.
In July 2021, Shashoua became Director of Regional Sales Canada, handling the Canadian market and overseeing Lufthansa Group’s joint venture with United Airlines and Air Canada. He holds dual citizenship in Switzerland and the United Kingdom and has an Executive MBA from Zurich University. Shashoua is married with one son.
The Lufthansa Group operates globally, employing over 100,000 people and generating EUR 35.4 billion in revenue in 2023. Its main business focus is passenger airlines, with additional segments in logistics, maintenance, repair and overhaul, IT services, and aviation training.
