New green AP routes

: Dec 27, 2013 - : 10:41 am

Seven new Asia Pacific ‘green aviation routes’ have been developed by Airways New Zealand. The routes are certified by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) as using best practice to reduce environmental impact.

The routes, between Auckland-Singapore; Christchurch-Singapore; Los Angeles-Auckland; and San Francisco-Auckland all conform to the ASPIRE (Asia and South Pacific Initiative to Reduce Emissions) programme. “The addition of these [routes] to our ASPIRE portfolio is a huge step forward for Airways’ contribution to the [green] partnership,” says Ed Sims, CEO at Airways.
