U.S. company PartsBase, which provides internet based parts locator services, has opened its office in Malaysia, the first outside its Florida HQ.
“Our office in Kuala Lumpur, which was opened a couple of months back, will serve besides the customers in South East Asian nations, those in whole of Asia and Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa,” Michael Miqdad, Director of Sales, APAC at PartsBase told Daily News at the VIAexpo.
PartsBase offers complete marketing and digital advertising opportunities to reach aviation and aerospace professionals while they are in buy and search modes.
“PartsBase is very organised and it is up-to-date online tool in the industry. Whether you buy or sell, manufacture, overhaul or work in government contracting, we have the appropriate package that suits the customer. With over 85 million line items, detailed cross-referencing, description search and overhaul capability searches, PartsBase is the answer for business growth, mission critical situations and more,” Miqdad said, adding the “long-term prospects for growth are good. Market demand was strong over the past year and continues to be strong moving into post pandemic era.”
PartsBase plans to expand its market further and establish offices in Europe and Latin America. “Next year we plan to set up two more offices to as each market is traditionally different and their requirements are totally different,” he added.
With passenger airline travel numbers reaching record levels, Miqdad said, airlines are increasing demand for parts and maintenance.
Although there are “some headwinds going forward from unknown risks like global trade tensions, erratic stock market behaviour, and potential regulatory changes due to climate change pressures that temper some expectations, we feel confident that things will continue moving in a positive direction,” he said. “Airlines’ operational costs are constantly being squeezed by fuel prices, maintenance requirements, etc., which is exactly where PartsBase fits in. We offer assistance in getting cost-savings maintenance, parts replacement and engineered repairs.”
