After the reopening of borders for international tourists, the aviation industry in Vietnam is now facing a shortage for pilots.  For Indonesia’s Perkasa Flight School, this is an opportunity to train future generations of pilots of Vietnam.

“Indonesia is ready to cooperate with Vietnam on the developments of the aviation industry as well as in contributing to the training of qualified and professional pilots,” Ahmad Rokib, Marketing Support for Perkasa Flight School told Daily News at the VIAexpo.

Perks Flight School is an Indonesia-certified flight school under PT Mitra Aviasi Perkasa, established in 2012, with the Pilot School Certificate approved by the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam.

“From 2018 we started getting students from Vietnam, and so far we have provided ab initio training to more than 25 Vietnamese students. We are inviting more student to our institution as there is a great demand for pilots world over,” Rokib said.

The institution has 16 aircraft for training purpose—14 Piper Aircraft and 2 Cessna. The institution runs three batches in a year with about 10 students per batch.
