Pokemon, Scoot To Launch A Special-Themed Dreamliner

Yulian Ardiansyah - : Sep 1, 2022 - : 8:43 pm

The Pokemon company announced a collaboration with Scoot to launch a special-themed aircraft flying the Singapore-Japan route on Tuesday (Aug. 30).

Called “Pikachu Jet TR”, the aircraft is a Scoot’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner decorated with characters from the Japanese company’s highly popular video game series. Aside from its exterior, the aircraft’s interior, meal boxes, utensils, and amenities have also been decorated with the special theme. The airline will also sell Pokemon official merchandise onboard the aircraft.

According to Scoot’s published schedule, the special-themed Boeing 787 Dreamliner will fly connecting Singapore’s Changi and Japan’s Narita airports on two occasions. First on September 9th and second on October 19th. The same aircraft will also fly between Singapore to Seoul, South Korea on September 22nd, and October 6th.

Although no additional set schedules have been published yet, the airline has said that it will fly the special-themed aircraft to other countries in its network.

Scoot is the second airline outside Japan after Taiwan’s China Airlines to sport the Pokemon’s special theme in July this year. The Pokemon company has previously collaborated with Japanese airlines like Air Do in December 2021, and Skymark in May 2022.

Other than launching the special livery for Scoot’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner, the Pokemon company will also hold a three-day event in Singapore from November 18 to 20. Titled “Pikachu Weekend in Singapore”, the event will include “Pokemon Night Show” and “Pokemon GO Safari Zone” at Marina Bay, and Gardens by the Bay, respectively.
