PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) has delivered its sixth NC212i aircraft to the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU) as part of a nine-aircraft procurement contract with the Ministry of Defence, aiming to support domestic defence capabilities.
The recently delivered aircraft, temporarily designated with tail number AX-2133 and configured for troop transport, received its Flight Acceptance Certificate on 24 October 2024. This latest delivery follows two aircraft shipped in 2021, one in 2022, and two more in 2023, with the seventh aircraft scheduled for February 2025.
Like previous units, this NC212i features low-noise MTV-27 propellers from Germany’s MT Propeller, certified by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). These work in tandem with Honeywell TPE331 turboprop engines, enhancing operational efficiency while reducing noise and vibration.
The sixth NC212i is part of PTDI’s commitment to advancing Indonesia’s defence manufacturing capabilities. PTDI’s Bandung facility has now produced 124 NC212 series aircraft for both local and international clients, underlining its expanding production capacity.

PTDI’s success in exporting this aircraft to various countries stands as proof that locally made products can compete in the global market,” said Megy Sismandany, PTDI’s Director of Finance, Risk Management, and Human Resources.
