PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PTDI) and PT Intercrus Aero Indonesia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Bandung on Wednesday (Jun. 12). The signatories were Moh. Arif Faisal, Director of Commerce, Technology & Development of PTDI, and Jeremy Hasian Saragih, Founder & CEO of PT Intercrus Aero Indonesia, and was witnessed by Gita Amperiawan, President Director of PTDI.
The MoU outlines a cooperative effort in the development, certification, production, and commercialisation of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) products, specifically the Intercrus Sola. The partnership is also expected to bolster the growth of air taxis in Indonesia.
“This product, which will be developed with PT Intercrus Aero Indonesia, can help overcome the problem of traffic congestion in metropolitan areas, reduce transit times and increase economic efficiency. This can also provide added technological value and increase PTDI’s engineering capabilities in the AAM sector,” said Gita Amperiawan.
“We also hope that with the formation of a technical team between PTDI and PT Intercrus Aero Indonesia we can develop this industrial technology progressively in the future, not only as an AAM product to meet the needs of civil aviation, logistics and tourism, but also for military & defence needs,” he added.
“By collaborating with PTDI, we can develop autonomous flight offerings for passengers in urban areas. Currently PT Intercrus Aero Indonesia is in the finalisation stage of the prototype design, which is planned to be certified by the DGCA and will gradually be processed for certification by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA),” said Jeremy Hasian Saragih.
The Intercrus Sola is an electric Vertical Take-Off Landing (e-VTOL) aircraft, capable of carrying four passengers and a load of 1,200 kg. The aircraft can reach speeds of up to 150 km/hour and has a range of 100 km in urban areas. The design adheres to the Civil Aviation Safety Regulations (CASR) Part 27, as stipulated by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Indonesian Ministry of Transportation.
PT Intercrus Aero Indonesia is a start-up specialising in the research, development, and manufacturing of electric Vertical Take-Off & Landing (VTOL) aircraft in the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) sector.
