Saab is displaying a range of advanced systems at the ongoing Dubai Airshow that highlights its deepening partnership with the UAE’s defence forces.
Among the equipment on display is DeployNet, a rapidly deployable and scalable 5G wireless network delivering speedy, reliable and secure voice and data communication. Designed and produced in the UAE, DeployNet was brought to market through co-operation with the UAE’s Tawazun Council.

Dubai Airshow presents an ideal opportunity to strengthen our existing partnerships and venture into new possibilities with influential and key stakeholders,” said Anna-Karin Rosen, Managing Director of Saab in the UAV.
The UAE was Saab’s launch customer for the GlobalEye, which is an advanced AEW&C solution, with ground-breaking capabilities that can provide simultaneous air, maritime and ground surveillance in one single solution.
The first two GlobalEyes’ were ordered by the UAE in November 2015, with an option for a third aircraft exercised in February 2017.
The UAE took delivery of its first aircraft in April 2020 and the third in February 2021. The UAE also ordered two additional aircraft in January 2021.
Saab is also Showcasing its Giraffe multifunctional, multi-mission radars that create the time to act, with simultaneous capabilities including air surveillance, ground based air defence, drone detection and sense and warn.
