Our Bureau - : Mar 11, 2024 - : 8:53 pm

Oman’s low-cost airline, SalamAir has announced the revival of two sought-after summer destinations, Baku in Azerbaijan and Almaty in Kazakhstan, in response to overwhelming travel demand. Following a successful summer season last year, the decision to restart these routes reflects the company’s commitment to meeting customer preferences.

“We are thrilled to announce the reopening of Baku and Almaty due to popular demand,” said Capt: Ahmed Al Shidhani, Acting CEO of SalamAir. “The overwhelming response from our customers last year has motivated us to bring back these fantastic summer destinations. We are confident that travellers will continue to be captivated by the unique experiences Baku and Almaty offer.”

Last year witnessed unprecedented demand for Baku and Almaty, with travellers seeking unique cultural experiences and picturesque landscapes. The decision to resume services to these destinations is supported by the consistently high seat occupancy rates of 85% and 87%, respectively, experienced last year.

SalamAir aims to prioritize these routes to ensure travellers can once again enjoy the enchanting beauty and cultural richness of Baku and Almaty. The revival of these destinations signifies the airline’s commitment to meeting the evolving needs of its valued customers.

Travelers can expect a seamless and enjoyable journey with SalamAir, with two flights a week offered starting 16 June 2024 for Baku and 18 June for Almaty.
