GBP Aerospace & Defence, publisher of Asian Defence Technology, Asian Airlines & Aerospace, and Daily News, has been appointed as publisher of the Official Daily News at the upcoming Seoul International Aerospace and Defense Exhibition (Seoul ADEX) 2023.
The event, which is being held in the backdrop of the exponential growth of the Korean defence industry, will take place October 17-22. The Official Daily will have content in English and Korean.
An official agreement to this effect was signed on the opening day of the Paris Air Show between Jay Lee, ADEX exhibition coordinator, and Vittorio Rossi Prudente, Editor of GBP Aerospace & Defence. GBP Aerospace & Defence was the Official Daily News publisher during the 2021 edition of ADEX as well.
The largest and most comprehensive trade show in Northeast Asia is hosted by Korea Aerospace Industries Association (KAIA), Korea Defense Industry Association (KDIA) and Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA)ADEX 2023. The event has evoked a tremendous response from exhibitors around the world, said Kim Min Seok, KAIA Vice Chairman.
“The show gets bigger and better with each edition; we will have about 550 exhibitors from 34 countries at this year’s edition,” said Min Seok. “We will have companies from Colombia exhibiting at the event for the first time. The interest from exhibitors around the globe has been nothing short of amazing. In 2019 and 2021, we closed bookings for exhibition space in June. This time, we ran out of exhibition space and had to close bookings in January. The exhibition area has been expanded and we have a 30 % increase in the number of exhibitors.”
The Air Show is now among the top five trade aerospace and defence trade shows in the world in terms of exhibition area. “By 2025, we will be among the top three largest trade shows,” said Min Seok. “The growth of the event is testament to the speedy and sustained development of Korea’s defence industry. We want to showcase all the exciting products and capabilities that our companies have to offer.”
