Singapore Airshow 2024 Features Record Number of Flying Teams

Our Bureau - : Feb 10, 2024 - : 1:49 am

The Singapore Airshow 2024, taking place at the Changi Exhibition Centre from February 20 to 25, will feature eight aerial displays, including six from air forces and two from commercial companies.

“Flying performances are always a key highlight at Singapore Airshow. As the public was either given limited or no access in the previous two editions due to safety measures during (the) pandemic, we anticipate strong interest in the upcoming flying performances,” said Leck Chet Lam, Managing Director, Experia, organizer of the Singapore Airshow.

“We are especially thrilled to welcome familiar favourites; and also flying teams and aircraft that are flying at Singapore Airshow for the first time.”

This year’s lineup boasts the largest number of foreign flying teams, with highlights such as the Indian Air Force’s Sarang showcasing aerobatic maneuvers for the first time. Other teams include the Royal Australian Air Force’s Roulettes, the Indonesian Air Force’s Jupiter Aerobatic Team, and the Republic of Korea Air Force’s Black Eagles. The United States Air Force’s B-52 Stratofortress will also make a flypast at the event on February 22.

Additionally, the Republic of Singapore Air Force will present an integrated aerial display team featuring an F-15SG fighter jet and the AH-64D Apache attack helicopter.

Making its debut appearance at the Singapore Airshow 2024 is the C919, a narrow-body airliner developed by Chinese aircraft manufacturer COMAC. Airbus’ A350-1000 aerial display will also be returning to captivate commercial plane enthusiasts.
