Message from Jordan Prime Minister H.E. Dr. Bisher Al Khasawneh
Since the establishment of the Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference SOFEX by His Majesty King Abdullah II, Jordan’s conviction of the importance of convening this event has been reinforced with every edition. The changing global environment, international and regional challenges, and advancements in technologies necessitate that all stakeholders convene to present and display new equipment and innovative technologies that contribute to enhancing safety and security nationally, regionally and internationally.
This year’s 13th Edition is timely as the world is recovering from a pandemic, but is also facing a wide range of challenges to stability and security on the international, regional, and national levels. SOFEX 2022 represents an ideal opportunity to exchange views and experiences on the ways and means to identify and address the challenges for security and stability by convening a wide range of stakeholders, from over 98 countries represented by Chiefs of Staffs, Defense Ministers, Senior Officials, Civilians and Military, as well as key businesses.
This assembly will provide a forum for dialogue, forging partnerships and agreements, and business transactions that would serve cooperation and collaboration aiming at enhancing safety and stability in a rapidly changing global environment fulfilling the objective that His Majesty King Abdullah II envisioned more than two decades ago.
