Thales is bringing the full range of its capabilities to the Paris Air Show.
At the event, the company will present solutions in a broad range of fields, from airport security systems and the cockpit of the future through to drones, defence aeronautics and telecommunication satellites.
In the civil aviation sphere, Thales will showcase its expertise in areas such as avionics and flight operations, and airport and passenger experience. The company’s TopSky UAS Traffic Management (UTM) solution is a first of its kind, cloud platform, enabling drones to have secure and optimized access to airspace. Its UAS100 long range surveillance drone is a certified UAV for BVLOS operations over population and industrial areas. It can be used for governmental surveillance, border security, railways and pipeline inspection.
Among the defence sector products and solutions that the company will present are those that support air forces in addressing the latest threats such as asymmetric warfare as well as high-intensity and hybrid warfare. The company will showcase the ForceShield – VSHORAD air defense system, the SAMP/T NG – medium-range air defense system including GF300 radar, and its counter-UAS (micro and mini) solution.
Thales develops and delivers airborne and ground-based solutions to find, fix, track and target different types of threats, from small UAVs to stealth fighter jets and hypersonic missiles. The company’s solutions cover the broad range of the electromagnetic spectrum from Electro-Optic/InfraRed (EO/IR) to Radio Frequency (RF), in a seamless continuum from surface to space.
