: Jun 1, 2013 - : 5:52 am

Tiger Airways has announced the launch of flights to the Indonesian cities of Yogyakarta and Bandung, which will begin from July 1 and August 1 this year, respectively. This will boost the Tiger Group’s Singapore-Indonesia network from five destinations (Denpasar, Medan, Jakarta, Pekanbaru and Surabaya) to seven.

Ho Yuen Sang, MD of Tiger Airways Singapore said, “The Jakarta airport is currently experiencing some air traffic congestion, with more than 40 airlines operating out of its grounds. To better facilitate air travel between the two countries, Tiger Airways has decided to bring its services to more second-tier cities.”
