Unstring Tech Solutions Offers Radar Target Solutions

: Nov 19, 2019 - : 4:07 pm

Indian firm Unstring Tech Solutions (UTS), which is participating in the ongoing show is engaged in design and development of Digital Radio Frequency Memory (DRFM) based radar target simulators, radar threat simulators, Electronic Warfare (EW) scenario simulators, Beamforming Solutions. With over a decade of experience in the domain, the company is now seeking to expand its presence to export markets in SE Asia.

The company’s products are based on state-of-the-art CPU, FPGA, GPU hardware and DSP algorithms, which can reduce the design, development, test and validation phase of several classes of systems, and facilitate the experts to test functionality in various scenarios.

The UTS’s radar signal emulator is state-of-the-art injection mode test simulator, which can generate practical signal conditions for injection mode test and validation of Radar Warning Receivers (RWR) and Electronic Support Measure (ESM) systems. The product is realized both at IF level up to 1 GHz instantaneous bandwidth and RF level testing up to 20 GHz.

The company’s Target & ECM Simulator (RTS) is an ideal choice for testing radar systems in injection mode both for conventional signals and LPI signals. The simulator has provisions for enabling Electronic Counter Measure (ECM) at target side, so that testing Electronic Counter-Countermeasures (ECCM) features of radar as device under test is possible. The RTS takes the radar generated signal as input and produces output, which consists the effect of modelled targets with different propagation losses, weather conditions, clutter and Doppler shifts, range and velocity.

UTS has also developed multi target and multi radar scenario simulator, comprising full battlefield scenario in the context of weapon system. The Surface to Air Missile (SAM) systems uses multi radar sensor system to detect the targets and evolve a cumulative picture to the command and control system. Based on this information the command and control system takes necessary offensive action. Simulating the multi radar sensor with multiple moving targets is achieved with UTS developed simulator.
