Havelsan, a Turkiye software and systems company, has attained the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Level D certification for its Airbus A320 Full Flight Simulator (FFS) operated by Turkish Airlines. The simulator is one of three FFS units contracted by the airline as part of a larger procurement deal encompassing a total of eleven A320 CEO NEOs and Boeing 737 Max FFS and Flight Training Devices (FTDs).

The achievement of EASA Level D certification underscores Havelsan’s capability in delivering Turkish-manufactured pilot training equipment to the global airline and pilot training industry. The company is also engaged in discussions with customers regarding long-term cooperation projects.

“We are thrilled to announce the first Airbus A320 EASA full flight simulator certification of a Havelsan manufactured device in 2024. It symbolises our shared dedication with Turkish Airlines to ensure that the simulator training infrastructure meets standards from around the globe,” said Havelsan CEO, Mehmet Akif Nacar.

Prior to the recent Airbus A320 certification, Havelsan’s Boeing B737MAX FFS has also achieved EASA Level D Certification in 2023. Moreover, in March 2024, Havelsan announced plans to expand its activities and support for airlines and simulator training centres, including increasing its manufacturing capacity to produce up to eight FFS annually and offering flexible solutions to assist airlines in expanding their simulator training centre operations.

Havelsan remains committed to meeting the needs of Flight Simulator Training Devices both domestically and internationally. The company is actively seeking additional airline or training centre operators to provide information about its products.
