Sapura Technics Goes Live with Swiss-AS’ AMOS 30

: Oct 8, 2020 - : 4:27 am

Sapura Technics, which obtained its first Part 145 provisional approval from the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) in November last year, has signed a deal with Swiss AviationSoftware, or Swiss-AS, to use the AMOS MRO Edition. The deal is expected to help the MRO manage its line and base maintenance activities.

Started in January 2020, the new AMOS implementation project consolidates Swiss-AS’ presence in Malaysia and the APAC region.  “The commitment of the Sapura Technics’ project team during these difficult times deserves full recognition and respect,” said Ronald Schaeuffele, CEO of Swiss-AS. “Sapura fully embraced the performance of online sessions such as “Virtual Instructor-Led Training”, which in part, helped them to navigate the challenges presented by the Covid-19 crisis.”

The MRO expects the first heavy maintenance check to be carried out in the next quarter. The  launch event will see  Swiss-AS’ AMOS APAC team providing its on-site support at Sapura Technics hangar facilities located at Senai International Airport.

“We are excited to have the AMOS system “live” on time despite the current global pandemic,” said Syahril Shariff of Sapura Technics. “As a new MRO, starting with AMOS from the onset allows us to embark on industry best practices utilizing new applications and big data technologies such as paperless MRO delivering fastest turn around time of aircraft base maintenance. Other than the expected efficiency in the areas of planning and production, the MRO system will allow faster response time to market for quotations and digital advantage of sending and receiving packages from our customers in electronic format.”
